Performance evaluation of a multi-stage solar distiller associated with Fresnel lens in Malaysian weather

Water scarcity is widely known as one of the major current issues. As now, many solar distillers are using same concept evaporation and condensation saline water to produce distillates. The main problem with such their low productivity, latent heat produced lost surroundings. A multi-stage distiller can solve issue productivity by utilizing released. This design consists multiple stacked on top another, producing distillates in each stage while having amount energy intake. Malaysia falls within tropical belt where radiation appears be diffused, resulting low-quality that absorbed. To this problem, concentrated power (CSP) technology has been introduced. However, CSP very expensive, thus a Fresnel lens direct refraction device will cheaper option. In study, four-stage system integrated It was found efficiency were higher, 0.164 g/kJ 39.5% when compared single-stage 0.104 an 23.5%.
